Canadian Boccia Championships held in Surrey, BC

The Canadian Boccia Championships will be held March 15 – 17 in Surrey, British Columbia. The competition will take place at the Guilford Recreational Centre, with the finals starting at 1pm on Wednesday, March 17th. The event is organized by SportAbility BC for the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association.

This is a good opportunity to see the best boccia athletes in the country less than 7 months after the Paralympic Games.   The team from British Columbia is led by Paralympic veterans Paul Gauthier and Alison Kabush and with eleven strong athletes, they are expected to challenge for medals in all categories. Other provinces participating in the competition are Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec.
