Cycling

When athletes talk about pure speed it is cycling that often comes up. The sheer joy of cruising down a country road or flying by a familiar community makes cyclists want to just hop on their bikes! Cycling provides our athletes with an extraordinary workout, improving their cardio-vascular endurance and strengthening their leg muscles. Athletes (CP2 to CP8) compete on the road with a standard racing bike and, in some classes, tricycles. The racing distances for athletes are 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, 10,000m and/or 20,000m. So come on, be adventurous, be daring and take the challenge, contact your provincial affiliate. We encourage anyone and everyone, athletes, coaches and volunteers, to join.
